How We Help Our Neighbors: Our Ministries

Supporting the work of Addiction Treatment Services through the donation of toiletry items, 

We take care of our local area through our service project of cleaning up our adopted section of road.  

The Needlecrafters group donated 4 Baptism quilts in 2023 and donate quilts to Munson hospital for children in the hospital over holidays. 

In 2023 we donated 22 Thanksgiving baskets to families in need in Benzie County. 

In 2023 we donated over $1500 through Hearth to Hearth ministries to provide a Christmas dinner and new clothes for the children at Hope Center in Africa.

As a place of peace for all people, the Lake Ann Peace Park is a community project on land adjacent to Advent church. It includes picnic tables, a walking path, and a gathering space.

Advent donates seasonally groups of quilts to be donated to people in need through Lutheran World Relief. In 2023, Advent donated 40 Quilts.

Advent seasonally collects toiletry items and other needed supplies to give generously to those in need at the Women's Shelter.
